Organic farming of food crops

KTG Agrar grows organic grains such as wheat, rye, maize and spelt on some 16,000 hectares of farmland. This makes us the leading European producer of organic food crops. The products are cultivated to the strict regulations of the EU Regulation on Organic Farming. more

Conventional farming of food crops

More than 15,500 hectares make KTG a leading European player also in the conventional farming segment. The company primarily grows grain, maize and rapeseed in regular rotation. more

Energy production / Biogas

Since 2007, the generation of bioenergy has been the third business activity of KTG Agrar. We currently operate biogas plants with a total electrical output of 27 MW. A heat concept is in place at the locations, on the basis of which the heat produced can be used virtually throughout the year. more

Food

In 2011, a subsidiary of KTG Agrar, FZ Foods, took over Frenzel Tiefkühlkost. Frenzel was established in 1981 and is considered to be the third largest producer of frozen food in Germany. Apart from vegetables, the product range primarily comprises potato specialities and convenience food. more
